1. Order Cancellation Policy
Standard Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund, less the 3% non-refundable merchant processing fee.
After 24 hours, cancellations may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%.
Custom, pre-order, made-to-order, or special orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable.
Metropolitan Design Furniture, reserves the right to cancel any order at any time for any reason, including but not limited to pricing errors, inventory shortages, or suspected fraud. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
2. 30-Day Return Policy (Unused Items Only)
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery only if the item is unused, unassembled, and returned in its original packaging with all components included.
Returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
The customer is responsible for all return shipping and associated packaging costs.
Items that are damaged, used, or missing parts may be denied a refund or subject to additional charges.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days following inspection and approval of the returned item.
3. Non-Returnable Items
- Mattresses, bedding, pillows, and other personal-use items.
- Custom, special-order, or assembled items.
- Items returned without original packaging.
4. Replacement Parts
Missing or damaged parts will be replaced free of charge, subject to availability.
Replacement parts may have varying lead times.
Standard shipping applies; expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
If replacement parts are unavailable, a refund including shipping costs will be issued.
All parts are shipped via small parcel services (UPS/FedEx) or curbside freight.
5. Defective or Incorrect Items
Defects or errors must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
We will replace defective or incorrect items or parts at no cost.
If a replacement is unavailable, a return authorization will be issued and a full refund will be processed.
Items that have been assembled, used, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return.
Items that have undergone assembly or debris removal services are covered solely by the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
6. Returns Due to Color Variations
Color variations resulting from screen settings, lighting, or viewing angles do not qualify for free returns.
Returns due to color concerns are subject to the standard return policy.
Digital swatches are provided; physical swatches may be requested for a fee and subject to availability.
7. Returns Due to Material Quality
Perceived differences in quality (e.g., softness, texture) are subjective and are not considered defects.
Returns related to material concerns are subject to the standard return policy.
Natural variations in wood grain, finishes, and distressing are inherent characteristics and are not grounds for free returns.
8. Returns Due to Dimensions
All product dimensions are provided by the manufacturer and are accurate within a 5% variance, which is not considered misrepresentation.
Returns due to fit issues (e.g., inability to fit through doorways) are the customer’s responsibility and subject to the standard return policy.
9. Returns Due to Product Images
Lifestyle images may depict multiple products; not all items shown are included in the purchase.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product titles and descriptions carefully.
Returns resulting from misunderstandings related to product images are subject to the standard return policy.
10. Returns Due to Building Access Issues
Customers are responsible for ensuring that ordered items fit through entryways, elevators, and hallways.
Delivery failures due to access limitations may result in redelivery or storage fees.
Returns due to access issues are subject to restocking fees and return shipping costs.
11. Returns of Artwork & Decorative Items
Many artwork items (e.g., wall art, statues, figurines) are handcrafted or custom-made and may vary slightly.
Such variations do not constitute defects.
Returns for artwork follow the standard return policy, except for custom-made items, which are non-returnable.
12. Chargeback & Dispute Policy
Customers must contact Metropolitan Design Furniture directly prior to initiating any chargeback or dispute.
Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes without prior contact violate these terms and may result in legal action.
Metropolitan Design Furniture reserves the right to dispute unauthorized claims and provide full documentation to recover any damages incurred.
Chargebacks or disputes initiated without authorization may be referred to collections, and customers may be liable for legal fees.
13. Legal Notice
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these terms in full.
Metropolitan Design Furniture reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
Customers are encouraged to contact us directly to resolve any issues before pursuing legal or financial remedies.
14. Credit Card Merchant Processing Fees (Refunds)
- All customer-initiated refunds include a standard non-refundable 3% processing fee
- Fee waived only if Metropolitan Design Furniture cancels due to internal issues.
